The Tackle Frenzy Anglers Club

Do you enjoy pleasure
angling BUT take your fishing seriously? Since opening in late summer we
have served and become friends with many anglers from the South Devon
area and what is apparent is that the South Devon anglers are amongst
the most friendly people around. We also know that many
anglers enjoy fishing in different locations and do not necessarily want
to be tied to a set of waters. |

Like most anglers we ourselves enjoy
talking fishing, making new friends and learning new tactics, We also enjoy the
challenge of trying something different so the concept of a Tackle Frenzy
Anglers Club is that it is open to ALL anglers across ALL angling disciplines
with opportunities to try different fishing with help and instruction from like
minded friendly anglers.

We are not necessarily
looking for a dedicated water (however if you do have a lake that you
wouldn't mind clean & tidy anglers fishing please let me know) as I
think as members would rather fish different locations and of course for
sea fishing there is a great big expanse of salt water with an hours
drive of hear that is free (for now) for us all to fish. When fishing
together the idea IS NOT to match fish but to enjoy
fishing with like minded anglers having a laugh, learning new skills and
most importantly making new friends. |

The idea is not to form a club like Newton Abbot or Exeter but a club
consisting of anglers (hence the name Anglers Club and not Angling Club) looking
to expand their friends, their knowledge and more importantly their enjoyment of
the sport. There will be no prizes, no "most improved angler" or pressure to
catch more fish than anyone else. The idea for a Tackle Frenzy Anglers Club is
just that, a club that like minded anglers can join, fish together when they
want and perhaps have a bit of a get together on mass once a year, a Christmas
do maybe?

Why Tackle Frenzy Anglers Club?
Well, we serve many local anglers and can act as a focal point where
anglers can meet, discuss tactics, baits and venues and the Tackle
Frenzy web site can act as an information station with a dedicated forum
where members can discuss all things fishing. There are no fee's to join
as the club does not own any facilities, it is just a group of anglers
sharing a common interest, fishing, and if there is a need for somewhere
to meet then a local pub has offered the use a room when we need it. At
Tackle Frenzy we have the facilities to issue membership cards and to
keep a database of members. We can also co-ordinate the monthly venues
and members that wish to fish. Any day tickets required will be
purchased at the venue and not through us (unless of course we sell tickets for
the chosen water). |
The Tackle Frenzy Anglers Club was
formed in January and all anglers are welcome to join. We will be holding a
meeting of anglers for those that wish to attend on February 21st to agree on
the guidelines for fishing with other club members and below I will outline
ideas put forward so far. Come into the shop, bring or e-mail a mug shot of
those wishing to be members and we will issue your membership card and
membership of the Tackle Frenzy Forum as well.

FREE loan tackle - if you want
to try a different discipline but don't have the tackle the club has tackle
available for you to use FREE OF CHARGE - most of which has been donated by
club members!

FREE loan of books, DVD's and
magazines - if you fancy a read or to watch a bit of fishing we have some
items available to members to borrow.
